CFPB orders supervision of Google Payment Corp, Google sues

The agency has moved to scrutinize Google Pay’s books over allegedly deficient fraud responses, but the company has challenged that decision.

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) published an order placing Google Payment Corporation under supervision over concerns that its recently-discontinued Google Pay app might have violated consumer protection laws.
