Two new deputy directors appointed to the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority

Mette Tams Kitaj and Rigmor Ansdal will join Finanstilsynet after the summer break.

Finanstilsynet, the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority, has appointed two new deputy directors, with Mette Tams Kitaj as the new Deputy Director General for Capital Markets and Conduct Supervision, and Rigmor Ansdal as the new Deputy Director General for Legal Affairs.

Mette Tams Kitaj comes from a position as Assistant Director at Nykredit, where she was responsible for capital and liquidity. She is a qualified economist and has worked for several years in the Ministry of Business and Industry as, among other things, head of department in the financial area.

Rigmor Ansdal comes from a position as Group Legal Director at GF Forsikring, and knows the FSA from roles such as Head of Legal and Deputy Head of Governance, Fintech and Money Laundering. She has also worked at Danske Bank, and as a lawyer.

“I am really pleased that we have now got two such competent and versatile profiles as Rigmor and Mette on board the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority’s executive board,” said Director Louise Mogensen.

“They both have solid management experience and broad experience from the financial system in their respective areas, both from the public and private sectors. I see that as a great strength, and I am very much looking forward to the collaboration.”

Both Deputy Directors will start their jobs after the summer break, and will be subject to a six-month waiting period before they can participate in processing cases in relation to GF Forsikring and Nykredit.

The FSA’s executive board now consists of Director Louise Mogensen and the four deputy directors Carsten Brogaard, Kristian Vie Madsen, Mette Tams Kitaj and Rigmor Ansdal.
