The settlement resolves claims from a former CVS pharmacist under federal FCA whistleblower provisions.

The US Department of Justice (DOJ) announced an $18.282m settlement with CVS Pharmacy Inc to resolve allegations that the latter violated the Federal False Claims Act (FCA) and the California False Claims Act. The DOJ alleges the pharmacy chain knowingly filed claims for reimbursement for prescription drugs to California’s Medi-Cal
