FinCEN and DOJ announce penalties after hundreds of millions of dollars in bulk currency shipments transmitted across southwest border on behalf of high-risk entities.

In its first enforcement action against an armored car company, the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) has announced a $37m civil money penalty against Brink’s Global Services USA, Inc.

The penalty is for violations of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and its implementing regulations, and comes after FinCEN conducted
