Estonia grants its first standalone CASP license under MiCA

With a dozen applications in process, the Estonian FSA granted Lightspark Payment Europe a CASP license and e-money institution authorization.

Lightspark Payments Europe (Lightspark) has become the first company in Estonia to be granted a stand-alone crypto-asset service provider license (CASP) under the Markets in Crypto Assets (MiCA) Regulation and national Crypto Markets Act while simultaneously receiving an Electronic Money Institution (EMI) authorization.

Lightspark traces its origins to October 2025,
