Almenberg started his new position on December 1.

Johan Almenberg has been appointed the new Director General of Finansinspektion, the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority, by the Swedish Government.

Almenberg has a long and extensive background relating to financial markets from his previous roles at Sveriges Riksbank (Sweden’s central bank), Konjunkturinstitutet (the National Institute of Economic Research), and Finansinspektionen.
