UK to regulate AI in healthcare as majority supports use

The move comes amid a surge in patients self-diagnosing using online tools like chatbots.

The UK’s Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) launched a National Commission into the Regulation of AI in Healthcare in September 2025, with the aim of publishing a regulatory framework in 2026.
