HHS-OIG begins enforcing info-blocking rule in earnest

Regulators are intensifying efforts to enforce information-blocking rules with potential penalties as high as $1m, in a move to increase transparency and interoperability in healthcare.

A federal push to curb information blocking in healthcare is gaining momentum as the Trump administration increases enforcement actions against organizations that restrict access to electronic health data.
