The US Department of Justice (DOJ) has announced the creation of the National Fraud Detection Center (NFDC), a multi‑agency effort to combat fraud targeting federal benefit programs.
The center will bring together prosecutors, inspectors general, and law enforcement personnel to investigate the “most harmful actors defrauding federal government programs.”
