Federal judge rules CFPB must continue to seek Fed funding

Trump administration lawyers argued that because the Federal Reserve was operating at a loss, the CFPB could not request funds from it.

Judge Amy Berman Jackson of the US District Court for the District of Columbia has ruled that the Trump administration could not let Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) funding lapse by refusing to seek quarterly transfers from the Federal Reserve.
