Finnish FSA calls for sharper focus on terrorist financing risks

FIN-FSA has updated its guidance to emphasize evolving terrorist financing risks, calling on supervised entities to ensure correct risk assessment.

The Finnish Financial Supervisory Authority (FIN-FSA) has issued an update reminding supervised entities that identifying terrorist financing (TF) risks remains a crucial component of the anti-money-laundering and counter-terrorist-financing (AML/CFT) framework.

The authority has underscored that compliance with AML-CFT rules under the Act on Preventing Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing (444/2017)
