India’s FIU-IND cracks down on 15 crypto platforms

Crypto AML enforcement is increasingly framed as a national security issue rather than financial oversight.

India’s Ministry of Finance announced September 9 that its financial intelligence unit (FIU-IND) had issued non-compliance notices under Section 13 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) to 15 crypto platforms to remove their applications and web addresses for Indian users.

The named platforms included Weex, Blofin, Rezorex, Bitunix, DigiFinex, Toobit, XT.com,
