NASAA proposes a model Franchise Broker Registration Act

NASAA’s proposal is a revised release of the Franchise Broker Act, originally issued for public comment on May 13, 2024, and includes feedback received during the initial comment period.

The North American Securities Administrators Association (NASAA) is seeking to inject more disclosure and accountability into the franchising space with a set of proposals that make franchise brokers subject to specific disclosure requirements and registration in a uniform manner, but which are enforced individually by the states.
