OpenAI targets $40 billion funding despite DeepSeek market shocks

Raising funds could be a challenge, given how markets have reacted to the arrival of DeepSeek on the AI scene.

OpenAI, the world’s largest and most valuable artificial intelligence company, is talking to investors about a new $40 billion funding round, the Financial Times has reported.

According to the paper, SoftBank could be at the centre of the new funding, and is expected to invest a figure of around $15 billion
