SEC tackles active ETFs and fund merger fees

DERA’s chief economist Joshua White said active ETFs now “rival passive funds in number” and represent a “shift toward more actively managed strategies.”

The SEC’s Division of Economic and Risk Analysis (DERA) published two new reports this February, framing them as part of an effort to provide transparency into the rapidly expanding $10 trillion ETF market.
