UK government sustainability reporting and transition plan consultations

If endorsed, the use of these standards in reporting would initially be voluntary, but may become mandatory.

On June 25, 2025, the UK Government launched three key sustainability consultations:

  1. Consultation on the government’s draft UK Sustainability Reporting Standards (SRS) launched by the Department for Business and Trade (DBT);
  2. Consultation on climate-related transition plan requirements, set out in the UK Government’s manifesto published by the Department for Energy Security
