CVS Health resolves $37.76m settlement with DOJ for over-dispensing insulin pens to patients

CVS admitted to dispensing more insulin to patients than needed and receiving ineligible reimbursements.

CVS Health will pay $37.76m to settle allegations it dispensed too many insulin pens to patients, and then obtained improper reimbursements from Medicare, Medicaid, and other government healthcare programs.

The settlement resolves charges that CVS Pharmacy, a key subsidiary of CVS Health, violated the federal False Claims Act (FCA) between
