Europol issues critical roadmap for “quantum-proofing” global finance

Risk-based framework to help FIs identify which of their systems must be upgraded first to defend against the future threat of quantum computers.

In a move to safeguard the global economy against future cyber threats, Europol’s European Cybercrime Centre (EC3) has released a landmark publication, providing the first standardized triage system for banks and financial institutions to upgrade their encryption before advanced quantum computers break their digital defenses.
