Swedish FSA flags 197 suspected actors behind AI-driven investment fraud

Finansinspektionen (FI) warns of evolving investment fraud threats with fraudsters harnessing AI to enhance their credibility.

Since the beginning of 2026, Sweden’s financial market watchdog has warned about 197 actors suspected of investment fraud. The modus operandi behind the fraudsters’ approach is the creation of fake investment platforms, fuelled by AI features for enhanced credibility.
