Spot bitcoin ETF filings inadequate says SEC

The SEC says recent applications for spot bitcoin ETFs filed by several notable asset managers are so far inadequate.

The SEC said a recent wave of applications filed by asset managers to launch spot bitcoin exchange-traded funds are inadequate, according to the WSJ’s discussions with people familiar with such matters.

The agency informed exchanges Nasdaq and Cboe Global Markets, which filed the applications on behalf of asset managers,
