CFTC issues new enforcement cooperation policy

The advisory gives market participants even more opportunity for full enforcement declinations.

A clearer path to avoiding enforcement actions or receiving reduced penalties is now available to entities that voluntarily self-report misconduct, cooperate with investigations, remediate violations, and return money where appropriate, per a new cooperation policy from The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC)’s Division of Enforcement.
