CFTC warns prediction markets about deficient incentive program filings

The agency said a growing number of filings have failed to provide sufficient notice or compliance analysis.

The CFTC has warned derivatives exchanges that a growing number of filings for market-making, liquidity, trading, and other incentive programs contain procedural or substantive deficiencies under CFTC Regulations 40.5 and 40.6 – particularly filings relating to event contracts.
