HHS repeals federal nursing home staffing rule to expand rural access

The Trump administration removes Biden-era requirements for nursing home facilities, receives mixed responses.

The US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) repealed key provisions of a Biden-era regulation that would have forced nursing home operators to increase nurse staffing, arguing the regulations would have put rural communities at a disadvantage.
