Requirements:

  • Firms must maintain policies and procedures designed to prevent improper quotation practices in OTC equity securities.
  • Firms may not engage in a pattern or practice of displaying locking quotations, which occur when a quoted buying price is the same as a quoted selling price in the same quotation system.
  • Firms may not engage in a pattern or practice of displaying crossing quotations, which occur when a quoted buying price is higher than a quoted selling price in the same quotation system.
