SEC will not review Climate Disclosure Rule, asks court to decide case

Regulator says definitive statement would prejudice future policy.

In a recently filed status report with the US Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, the SEC declined to say whether it would enforce its embattled Climate Disclosure Rule if the court upheld it.

The agency also confirmed it did not intend to formally review or reconsider the rule,
