UK government acts on digital and cyber regulation, but still no AI Bill

Incremental approach to regulation of fast-changing sector continues.

Proposals to reform the UK’s framework of digital and cyber regulation formed a significant tranche of last week’s announcement of work for the upcoming session of Parliament, with long-awaited changes to the Computer Misuse Act 1990 standing out. But there was no substantive legislation on AI.
