200 Swedish municipalities and regions affected in ransomware attack

About 80% of Sweden’s municipalities use the hacked system supplier Miljödata.

The system provider Miljödata suffered a a ransomware attack during the weekend. The attack affected about 200 Swedish municipalities and regions, and some private organizations. MSB, the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency, told the Swedish public service television company SVT that sensitive personal data may have been leaked as a result.
