SEC approves generic listing standards for commodity-based trust shares

In a move described as a “bombshell” by industry news outlets, the SEC has approved generic listing standards that will allow exchanges to list certain Commodity-Based Trust Shares without submitting individual rule filings, marking a significant change in how commodity and digital asset exchange-traded products (ETPs) are regulated.
