DOJ secures record-breaking $6.8 billion in False Claims Act settlements, judgments for FY 2025

The healthcare fraud category took the lion’s share with a staggering $5.7 billion in recovered funds from FCA matters.

The US Department of Justice (DOJ) secured over $6.8 billion in settlements and judgments under the False Claims Act (FCA) in the fiscal year ending September 30, 2025, the highest in a single year in the history of FCA enforcement.
