AMLA finalizes common EU standards on AML supervision and enforcement

The final RTS establish common classification criteria for AML/CFT breaches as well as criteria for applying administrative sanctions and pecuniary penalties.

The EU’s Anti-Money-Laundering Authority (AMLA) has published its final Regulatory Technical Standards (RTS). They specify a common framework that supervisors across the European Union should use to assess breaches of AML/CFT rules and determine appropriate enforcement measures.
