The insurer Aviva says it detected a record 18,400 suspect claims worth $312m (£233m) across its UK business, equivalent to over £638,000 ($855,000) of fraud prevented every day.
The figures are the first to combine data from the Aviva and Direct Line brands following Aviva’s acquisition of the latter in July 2025.
