California pushes corporate climate transparency

The rules mark California as one of the most ambitious climate-disclosure jurisdictions in the United States.

Over 4,000 companies operating in the state of California will be required to report their greenhouse gas emissions and explain how climate change may affect their financial outlook.

This development comes as the state’s environmental agency, the California Air Resources Board (CARB), adopts a new set of rules designed to enable
