Tele2 SKr8.1m sanction for disclosing protected information

The company shared protected customer data with external companies handling subscriber details.

The telecommunication company Tele2 has been sanctioned a total of SKr8.1m ($863,982) for disclosing protected customer information.

The Swedish Post and Telecom Authority (PTS) received reports in early 2025 of a data breach incident that had occurred at Tele2. The reports revealed that Tele2 had shared customer details of individuals
