UK anti-corruption strategy takes aim at dirty money

Officials say activities funded by money laundering are contributing to global conflict and making Britain less safe.

The UK government launched a new anti-corruption strategy on Monday, saying more international collaboration and private-public sector cooperation was needed. The strategy is primarily aimed at taking on “dirty money,” an issue that costs Britain’s economy £100 billion ($133.3 billion) annually.
