Apple makes last-minute changes to App Store policies in EU to avoid fine

Announcement is latest episode in tense stand-off between European regulators and US tech giants.

Apple has made a number of last-minute changes to the way its App Store operates within the EU, in order to avoid a potential fine of around €500m ($585 million) from the bloc.

The US tech giant published a detailed document about the changes on Thursday, just before a deadline on
