FCA sues HTX crypto platform

This marks the first time the FCA has taken a major exchange to court for breaching financial promotion laws.

The FCA has filed civil proceedings in the High Court of Justice in London against HTX, formely Huobi, and associated entities.

The claim alleges that HTX unlawfully promoted crypto-asset services to UK consumers in breach of the UK financial promotions regime under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (FSMA). HTX
