NASAA seeks public comment on Model Advertising Rule

The model rule would harmonize state-level standards with the SEC’s Marketing Rule.

The North American Securities Administrators Association (NASAA) has requested public comment on proposed amendments that would update the 1956 and 2002 Uniform Securities Acts to align state investment adviser advertising laws with the federal SEC Marketing Rule, with an option to incorporate the SEC rule by reference.
