UK government opens consultation on reforming benchmarks regime

The FCA has welcomed the government’s decision.

The UK government has opened a consultation on the future of the country’s regulatory regime for benchmarks and benchmark administrators, in an effort to move away from existing EU laws and introduce a framework that is better suited to current market conditions.
