Global data regulators raise privacy concerns over AI-generated imagery

Organizations responsible for developing AI content-generating systems have been reminded they should act in accordance with the legal frameworks in place.

A group of 61 data protection authorities and regulators from across the globe have issued a joint statement on privacy risks posed by the use of AI models to generate individuals’ images and videos without their knowledge or consent.
