OpenAI deal will allow UK firms to store their data on British soil

A new deal between the UK government and US tech giant OpenAI will allow UK firms to store their data on British soil for the first time, ministers have said.

The government sees the deal as a major milestone in the UK’s efforts to ensure data ownership, claiming that it
