FCA issues targeted CRYPTOPRU risk-assessment guidance

FCA prudential requirements include an obligation for firms carrying out regulated cryptoasset activities to perform an overall risk assessment.

The FCA has issued two guidance documents for firms that are subject to its prudential sourcebooks, COREPRU (see FG26/9) and CRYPTOPRU.

FG26/10 covers the overall risk assessment that needs to be completed by firms such as cryptoasset trading platforms, issuers of stablecoins, cryptoasset custodians, and others operating in the crypto
