Major cloud services providers to come under remit of UK regulators next year

MPs have accused the government of being too slow to bring critical third-party service providers under the remit of UK regulators but ministers insist work is underway.

UK government ministers have said that, around this time next year, the country’s financial regulators should be able to directly regulate and supervize the activities of external or third-party firms that provide critical services to the UK financial industry.
