SEC awards whistleblower more than $37m in first award of 2024

Record award comes in a year in which more than $501m was awarded to whistleblowers.

The SEC has made its first whistleblower award of 2024, with an individual awarded more than $37m for assistance. The SEC said that the whistleblower, previously not known to the Commission, “significantly contributed” to a successful enforcement action.
