The landmark legislation aims to modernize financial services regulation, cut red tape for businesses, and strengthen consumer protections.

The Financial Services and Markets Bill was introduced to Parliament on May 20, delivering parts of the Leeds Reforms and overhauling how financial services are regulated.

Announced in the 2026 King’s Speech as the Enhancing Financial Services Bill, the document covers everything from regulatory reform to consumer protection and crypto enforcement.
