Equality Action Plans: What UK employers need to know

UK Equality Action Plans (covering gender pay gaps and menopause support) became available on a voluntary basis on April 6, 2026, and are expected to become mandatory in spring 2027.

In 2027 it will become compulsory for employers with 250 or more employees to produce and publish gender Equality Action Plans. While we await the detail of the relevant implementation legislation ahead of Spring 2027, we do not anticipate significant changes from the current voluntary regime.
