FCA opens consultation on new rules for sustainability disclosures

The FCA says its approach to what listed companies will be expected to report in the future is pragmatic and proportionate.

The UK’s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has opened a consultation on proposals around new rules for sustainability disclosures by listed companies. The regulator has said evolving current rules is a necessary part of the transition from the now-abandoned Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) and aligning with global standards.
