China’s securities regulator increases rewards for reporting violations

The cash reward for whistleblowers will depend on how serious the violation is. At the same time, self-reporting is being encouraged by imposing lighter penalties.

China’s Ministry of Finance and the country’s Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) have unveiled a new plan to encourage individuals to report violations in the securities and futures markets by tripling the cash reward for whistleblowing.
