Hong Kong trader found culpable in $147m insider trading case

Businessman accused of withholding valuable information that was extremely price-sensitive for the general market.

An insider trading case that yielded profits of approximately HK$1.15 billion ($147m) has resulted in a businessman and his investment holding company being found culpable by the Market Misconduct Tribunal (MMT) in Hong Kong.

The announcement comes after Hong Kong’s Securities and Futures Commissions (SFC) brought proceedings to the Tribunal
